Acupuncture for Health & Wellbeing
If your health is interfering with how you want to live your life, acupuncture could help
Hi, I'm Alison,
Thanks for taking the time to look at my website, I hope you find all the information you need but if you have more questions I am always happy to talk about acupuncture and how it can help.

After graduating, as a physiotherapist, I worked at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust treating neurological patients. I then moved into teaching at Huddersfield University, where I was a Senior Physiotherapy Lecturer.

I used acupuncture in my physio practice and having seen the effects it could have on pain, I decided to study it in more depth, enrolling in an Honours Degree course at the Northern College of Acupuncture. After completing the first year I knew this was what I wanted to do full-time so left teaching to concentrate on my studies. After graduating with a First Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Acupuncture I set up AP Acupuncture.

Working with people to help improve their quality of life is why I became a therapist and the desire to do this is still as strong as ever. I am now in the privileged position of being able to do this by combining Western and Eastern approaches to health, using the best of both to help people achieve their Health and Wellbeing goals.
I am part of the teaching team at The Northern College of Acupuncture, so still get to indulge my love of teaching.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and fully insured through membership of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians. I am licensed with Leeds and Harrogate City Councils.
